In late August 2026 we held our first ever summer camp. This opportunity brought together people from many different backgrounds, young workers, the unemployed, high school students, college and university students. From towns all around Belgium, the future of our movement came together.
This camp aimed to equip a new generation with the tools to organise themselves; in their base units, local groups, schools, workplaces and unions. The camp had a packed programme with political and organisational education, workshops, team-building, a movie night and games. We connected with the location by taking lessons from the local antifascist resistance during WWII and struggles that took place around the neighbourhood and it’s industry.
Discussions flourished through collective learning, questions led to clarification. We are in a crucial period where education and open discussion must further strengthen the foundations of our organisation. Later this year the JCB’s Second National Assembly will take place, which is the highest democratic body of our organisation, representing all of its members and deciding the path for the upcoming period of the JCB.
The new academic year will give many new comrades the opportunity to take part in our activities and join their local base units. You too can be a part of the JCB, you can now get in touch through our website.
Organising a summer camp was a challenge, we hope it was a positive and memorable experience for all participants. We thank everyone for their contributions and efforts.
Strengthen the working class; advance its organization. Forward towards socialist revolution!
